Mission

To foster and maintain a positive image and building strong relationships with the stakeholders of the Marketing Seminar.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and ensure effective flow of communication with internal university officers - HOS, Dean, security, facilitates office, corporate services office, students union, staff in marketing division/school
  • Responsible for hosting speakers (gift/tokens/refreshment, introduction, vote of thanks etc.)
  • Create and distribute all communication of appreciation to sponsors, speakers, supporters and participants
  • Develop and maintain a direct mailing list and be responsible for all direct marketing activities
  • Responsible for assigning and training Ushers for functions
  • Develop press kits
  • Overall responsibility for the Media Launch
  • Develop media adversaries, press releases and newsworthy stories
  • Issue invitation letters/cards to press and significant publics
  • Prepare a comprehensive and up to date database of media contact list, university personnel and positions, etc.
  • Be aware of protocols in addressing government officials, dignitaries, university personnel etc.
